Terms of Use
These terms govern your access to and use of Community HubLand as a visitor, member, guide or business owner.
Important: Your CHL Founding Vendor Agreement
CHL is currently operating its Founding Vendor programme. By joining during this period, you receive a preferential Founding Vendor subscription rate. This rate is offered in recognition that CHL continues to refine and expand parts of the platform while working with its early vendor community.
Your Founding Vendor Rate. Your qualifying subscription rate remains protected while your subscription remains active. If you cancel, your Business Page may be archived for up to three months. If you reactivate during that period, your qualifying Founding Vendor Rate may be restored. After that recovery period, the rate available when you rejoin may apply.
Platform development. CHL’s tools and presentation continue to evolve. Features may be improved, reorganised, expanded or replaced as the platform develops. We welcome feedback and prioritise genuine technical problems affecting vendors.
Your subscription. Your plan includes the listing allowance and core tools shown when you subscribe. Some optional, third-party, usage-based or future premium services may carry separate charges.
Cancellation. You may cancel future renewal at any time. Your service normally remains available until the end of your paid billing period.
Refunds. Subscription payments are non-refundable once paid, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Invitation Codes. A valid Invitation Code may provide an additional discount subject to its eligibility, duration and applicable programme rules. The applicable price is shown before payment is confirmed.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Community HubLand — browsing the platform, creating an account, publishing a Business Page or listing, joining as a guide, or purchasing a membership — you accept these Terms of Use and the policies they incorporate, including our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account or operate a business presence on Community HubLand.
You agree to provide accurate, current registration details and to keep them up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at the contact address below if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Business accounts must be operated by, or with the authority of, the business they represent.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the platform for fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, abuse, or any unlawful purpose, and do not upload unlawful, infringing or deceptive content.
- Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically extract platform data, interfere with the platform’s operation or security, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Listings, reviews and guide interactions must be genuine and truthful. Fake reviews, manipulated ratings, self-dealing designed to game programme benefits, and misleading listing content are prohibited.
- Invitation Codes and promotional benefits must be used in accordance with their programme rules; self-referral restrictions apply where stated.
4. Content & intellectual property
Community HubLand and its design, software, branding and platform content are owned by or licensed to Community HubLand and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer any of that ownership to you.
You retain ownership of the content you submit — your listings, images, descriptions and Business Page content. By submitting content you grant Community HubLand a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce and promote that content on and in connection with the platform for as long as it remains on the platform. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, contact us at the address below and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.
5. Memberships, billing & cancellation
Paid memberships are billed in advance for the selected billing period at the price presented at checkout. Recurring memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
You may cancel future renewal at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the applicable paid billing period unless otherwise stated during cancellation, and your service normally remains available until then.
Subscription payments are non-refundable once paid, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Some optional, third-party, usage-based or future premium services may carry separate charges, which will be presented before you incur them.
6. Founding Vendor Programme
Founding Vendor rates
Community HubLand may offer eligible new vendors access to Founding Vendor membership rates during the Founding Vendor programme.
The Founding Vendor membership tiers and prices presented at checkout are the prices applicable to the selected billing period at the time of purchase.
Where a standard membership rate is displayed alongside a Founding Vendor rate, the Founding Vendor rate is the amount charged, subject to any valid Invitation Code or promotional adjustment shown at checkout.
Founding status
Founding Vendor status is secured when the first qualifying membership payment is successfully settled.
Starting registration, selecting a package, entering an Invitation Code, beginning checkout, or making an unsuccessful payment does not by itself secure a Founding Vendor place.
A renewal by an existing Founding Vendor does not consume an additional Founding Vendor place.
Founding membership rates
A vendor who has secured Founding Vendor status may continue to access the applicable Founding Vendor membership rates while their membership remains eligible under the programme.
Founding Vendor status is personal to the relevant vendor account and cannot be transferred, sold or assigned to another account or business without Community HubLand’s written agreement.
Cancellation and recovery
Where a Founding Vendor cancels a recurring membership, cancellation takes effect at the end of the applicable paid billing period unless otherwise stated during cancellation.
Following the end of the membership, the vendor may have a recovery period of up to 90 days in which an eligible Founding membership can be restored together with the applicable Founding Vendor rate.
If the vendor does not reactivate within that recovery period, Founding Vendor status and access to Founding Vendor rates may be permanently lost.
Reactivation during the recovery period does not consume a new Founding Vendor place.
Business Pages during recovery
Where the programme places a vendor account into recovery following membership expiry or cancellation, Community HubLand may temporarily archive the affected Business Page or Business Pages.
Where an eligible membership is restored within the recovery period, Community HubLand will restore Business Pages archived specifically through that Founding recovery process, subject to the account otherwise remaining eligible to use the platform.
Listing allowances
Founding Vendor membership tiers include the listing allowance displayed for the selected tier.
The current Founding allowances are:
- Essential: up to 30 eligible owned listings
- Growth: up to 70 eligible owned listings
- Scale: up to 150 eligible owned listings
The allowance is measured across the categories of owned content that Community HubLand designates as Explore-eligible for this programme.
Draft eligible records may count toward the allowance.
Records that are excluded by the programme’s listing rules, including excluded rental records where applicable, do not count toward the Founding listing allowance.
Deleting an eligible owned record reduces the used allowance.
Changing or editing an existing eligible record does not by itself consume an additional listing place.
Community HubLand may update the categories of content included within the allowance where reasonably necessary to reflect platform changes, provided this is not used to retrospectively reduce a vendor’s stated numerical Founding allowance.
Invitation Codes
A valid Invitation Code may provide a 20% membership discount for up to the first 12 months from the date the Invitation Code is first validly attached to the vendor account.
The 12-month Invitation Code period runs continuously from that attachment date.
It does not pause, restart or extend because another promotion is active.
Where an eligible promotional discount is greater than the Invitation Code discount for a billing period, the greater customer discount may apply for that period in accordance with the promotion rules.
Where the Invitation Code discount applies, it is calculated against the actual price of the selected membership and billing period.
Prepayment savings
Where Community HubLand offers a saving for paying for a longer billing period in advance, that saving is already reflected in the package price presented for that billing period.
Any further eligible Invitation Code or promotional adjustment is applied according to the pricing rules displayed at checkout.
Founding programme capacity
Community HubLand may limit the number of accounts that can acquire Founding Vendor status.
Availability is determined by Community HubLand’s programme records at the time the first qualifying payment is successfully settled.
Existing memberships and future platform changes
The Founding Vendor programme does not require Community HubLand to keep every individual feature, interface, section or tool unchanged indefinitely.
Community HubLand may develop, replace or improve platform functionality over time.
Any such platform development should be distinguished from the Founding Vendor membership rate protection described above.
General
The Founding Vendor Programme forms part of Community HubLand’s Terms of Use.
If there is a conflict between this Founding Vendor section and a more specific written term expressly governing the Founding Vendor programme, the more specific term will apply to the extent of that conflict.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the platform, or to specific features, where an account materially or repeatedly breaches these terms, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the platform, its members or the public. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using the platform, and cancel any paid membership as described in section 5, at any time.
Termination does not affect rights and obligations that have already accrued, and terms which by their nature should survive termination (including sections 4, 6 and 8) survive it.
8. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the platform, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere retain any protections and rights of jurisdiction granted by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
